“Wargame Warrior” is the website of a small group of friends from Essex in the UK who share the hobby of playing tabletop wargames* with model soldiers. Within these pages will be descriptions of games, pictures of wargaming miniatures, ramblings about current projects and updates about campaigns that are ongoing. Occasionally there might even be helpful reviews and tips. |

*What is wargaming? Tabletop wargaming usually involves: fighting battles with toy soldiers using a set of rules of greater or lesser complexity. As a hobby it also often includes: painting miniature soldiers, tanks, ships, aeroplanes etc., finding out about history, uniforms and tactics, competitive, good-natured games with your opponents and friendly banter with others in the hobby. It almost never includes: shooting each other with paintballs, dressing up as an elf or a musketeer, or computers. (Except of course for the vast resources available on the Internet and chat groups.) As we get older, wargaming also seems to include a lot more of chatting about games and history, over a pint, a good meal or a nice bottle of wine.
